Liselotte Andersen's work is inspired by the issue of living together with respect for others. The pure lines of her sculptures create a movement in which fullness and hollowness harmonise. Exploring human attitudes and interactions, the artist questions the notion of duality and complementarity. For her, sculpture is a “formidable path towards oneself and towards the other”.
Véronique Gérard is inspired by trees, and she criss-crosses the Massif des Maures to conquer vegetation from the air. She creates mirror images, as Rorschach experimented with painting, and the magic of fusion gives her a cosmic nature. The trees, taken out of their earthly context, symbolise the lungs of the earth, their active part in the universe, their contribution to the balance of the great whole.
