Born in 1968, Liselotte Andersen is a Franco-Danish sculptor based in Provence since 2002. Her journey has led her to live in North Africa, Denmark, Central Asia and Paris, experiences which nourish her artistic universe. Self-taught, she refined her technique through various training courses, notably at the École Supérieure d’Art d’Aix-en-Provence and during internships in an art foundry.
Her bronze work is characterized by refined and abstract forms, exploring human attitudes and interactions in particular. She draws inspiration from her experience at UNESCO, where she worked on cultural diversity and the culture of peace and non-violence, to infuse her works with a universal dimension. Her sculptures evoke movement, interaction and emotion, recalling the influence of artists like Alberto Giacometti, known for his slender and stylized figures, or Henry Moore, famous for his organic and abstract forms.
Among her notable works, “Vital Energy” illustrates her mastery of raw bronze and her interest in the dynamics of forms. “Over the moon” demonstrates her exploration of human relationships through harmonious compositions. “States of Mind” captures the diversity of human postures with minimalist elegance.
Liselotte Andersen is represented by several galleries on a permanent basis and her sculptures are also presented during temporary exhibitions in France and internationally in public or private spaces, notably at the Grand Palais in Paris and as part of international fairs such as the Luxembourg International Art Fair.
Her work reflects a constant quest for spontaneous expression, experimentation with materials and dialogue between forms and space, placing her work in the tradition of 20th century sculptors.
