«Creation is a wonderful way of reaching out to oneself and to others».»
Liselotte Andersen was born in 1968 and holds French and Danish nationality. She moved to Provence in 2002, after living in North Africa, Denmark, Central Asia and Paris.
For a long time, she worked at UNESCO on themes such as the Culture of Peace and Non-Violence and the preservation of natural and cultural heritage, all of which have been sources of inspiration for her creations over the years.
The plastic arts - sculpture and drawing in particular - have always been part of her life. She took part in open studios at the Beaux-Arts d'Aix-en-Provence for a number of years, and completed courses and training in the various stages of modelling up to the Fonderie D'art. She has also been able to refine her techniques on her own, and alongside several artists who have opened their studios to her. And the self-learning process is, of course, ongoing...
Her favourite materials are clay, wax, alloys that bring bronze to life and pigments.
She has been exhibiting in France and abroad since 1991, in collaboration with permanent galleries and as organiser of her own temporary exhibitions in private public spaces and at international trade fairs.
